Still time to Play...

Christmas is done & dusted again under the Australian summer sun…
Such a special time that I hope you got many photos of fun & togetherness.
I have had one heck of a busy month…the lead up to christmas was insane.

I am still over the moon that I am on my first ever Inspiration design team at D-lish Scraps… I was blown away that I have been given this incredible opportunity to share my layouts on this wonderful blog…
You can read all about the new team Inspiration Team & Current Board Here and join in all the fun & create a layout to share.  Plus there is a Facebook page as well!!!!
Isn't the Summer Sorbet board just lovely & mouth watering… Yummy.

This is my layout that I created for this board… I just had to use these 8 inch doilies that I got from the D-Lish online shop… Yes you read that right online store & I used my Heidi Swapp Color shine to change the colours so that they reflected the colour of the board.

So pleased with how this turned out…
What I used from D-Lish Store;
Paperclip arrows, Flowers, 8inch doilies, glitter, small foil hearts & mini confetti words.
You know I would used glitter I can't help myself and the store has lots of glitter in sweet little glass bottles so I can get more & more & more.

So come over & join in the fun there is lots of inspiration from our team & also the design team… Cybercrops once a month & so much more.

It's all about the Bling … Right?

Well what a week of Scrapping fun…

I have had ideas flowing from challenges I have seen & just basically getting some pages done.
You know I love bling but really is it all about the bling - hmmm YES!!!!  Plus the people that I scrap about… love my bling!

First up was for ScrapGirls online cybercrop…
Yellow, Grey & Turquoise
I had so much fun with this & of course Heidi Swapp's papers & ephemera were used…lol
This page is simple for me but full of colour shine. Glittery words from Heidi Swapp - aha yes Bling.

The next page was a Tic Tac Toe challenge - wooohooo I love these challenges so I chose
Mist, Sequins yes sequins & Turquoise
Hence I went mad with the sequins - common it's me = bling bling & sequins are definitely bling plus I used Heidi Swapps Colourshine mist on the background.

This next challenge is for Once Upon A …Sketch  - really loved the sketch this month.  Yeah okay I got carried away but isn't that what scrapping pages is all about… Lots of journalling which I need to do more of.  My butterfly background is stencilled  the layered in Glitter embossing powder…Bling!

Lastly for this post is a page that I couldn't help but follow the sketch on the Inspiration Challenge board for D-Lish but first before I made this page I bought the D-Lish Scraps Just add Paper kit for the month…I love these kits.  I used not even half of this stunning kit.

I did add some pink washi with the green washi… Loved how this worked out another simple page for me that is for sure but the sequins give me that bling!!!!

Enjoy your week as I have fun scrapping during mine & enjoying the BLING!!!!

White with one - Radiant Orchad

Well another month is here, October and the end of the school holidays today… I have been creating up a storm & enjoying these creations!  This is my layout that I made for the  WW1 challenge which was Radiant Orchid.  I tried to get as close to the orchid colour as I possibly could, thankfully I had an orchid ink pad that I have used around the edges of the page helping me build on that.
I used a Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Resist Folder as my background & built up from there.   I love this challenge site it really does make me think & sometimes get out of my comfort zone.

Life is meant to be lived so do so with the ones you love, making memories to be scrapped that will last a lifetime!

D-Lish is D-Loverly...

As I sit here I am listening to my Rainbow Lorikeet & Scaley Breasted Lorikeet talk & carry…
Life is good - school holidays have started & we have lots of plans!!!  I love school holidays it means there is all sorts of things happening everywhere you look just for kids.

Finally got around to scrapbooking a wedding layout years & years later have been to scared to stuff them up don't know why as I can re-print them all…  I think these photos can be most precious & we worry about wrecking them but if we don't scrap them they seem to sit in a box hidden where no-body can see them.

D-Lish Scraps an Aussie online store that I find D-Loverly had a Facebook cybercrop at The Scrap suite this weekend which I thoroughly enjoy, but seeing as all in this house has been sick the whole week I have been unable to get all completed but I did manage to get 3 layouts done… Pretty good considering.
My take on using Tags - Heidi swap tags no less…lol Used the sequin rope & Glitter Washi tape from D-Lish...

This next layout surprised me on how well it worked out…Orange, Blue & Green colours - I don't usually scrap with orange as I dislike the colour it reminds me of my grandpa who I dearly miss & always think of him when I see it - think that has a lot to do with the reason I don't scrap with it… But this layout I really Love!!!  Doilies, D-Lish Dots, Blue Glitter & The Love word is a Paperclip all found in the D-Lish Store

This next layout is a deviation away from how I usually scrap but I had an idea & just ran with the flow to see how it would work… Had to use - 3 different shapes & numbers.  So I used circles, hexagons & arrows plus numbers too.
I didn't like this page at first but kept adding to it & it has worked out - my hubby loves this so I must have done something right ;-)

Anyway no matter what your weekend holds I hope you have time to cuddle & be with your loved ones whether you find time to craft or not enjoy every moment you can with them.

Until next time...

Black with Two...

Black with Two challenge was up & I couldn't believe it … Hot Pink & Yellow … Oh this was going to be so much FUN again… Was starting to think that pink & yellow was the theme on a few blogs for this September but who am I to worry with 2 girls…?
Thoroughly enjoyed this months Challenge
I had so much fun making this layout that I got carried away with making my background…lol Texture paste mixed with Dylusions mist's, Bubblegum & Pure Sunshine, after putting that on the background I decided it needed Yes you guessed it "BLING!"  So lots of yellow & pink Glitter & then ontop of that clear embossing powder to hold it all into place… Placed in the over to cook & finished off with more clear embossing powder & the heat gun - glitter all over me & the floor & the desk & the kitchen - it's a wonder I didn't ingest & sneeze glitter = lots of texture though.
Time for Photos, Heidi Swapp ephemera & goodies, plus more bling & finished with Bold in the journalling.

So until next time when the this Princess gets covered in Glitter & bling have fun experimenting cause isn't it about enjoying what you do for those that you love?

Challenge Board...

Oh I have found a challenge board that yes in a way I had forgotten about but my interest was revived after joining the cybercrop last month & then the Inspiration Board came up these colours… so girly for my girls… Sigh I just had to do it!!!

Isn't this board just beautiful!!!!!!

Oh dear then I became so sick… now that was a delay I didn't want but gave me time to think & then I received my parcel of goodies that I purchased from the D-Lish shop…  Oh so stunning & so much BLING!!!!
I just couldn't get over the size of those bows they were just the perfect size for me!!!

Ruler & mist were used to create background yellow, Plasterer's tape was used with pink mist & texture paste…  Glitter & those small gorgeous perfectly sized bows from D-Lish were also used along with the oh so sweet small pink flowers… My flowers were some old ones in my stash from Heidi Swapp kinda like Ghost flowers (Clear) that I embossed & glitterised.

In the sketch there was doilies as you can see but I didn't have what I thought was the right size & I didn't want to use my dies to make one so I had to really think… brain wave hit & I used my Glue Gun & glitter Glue sticks to make the lovely circles that replaced the doilies…  Now I had gone about this all backwards as I usually find the photo before I start but this time I had to go & find the photo before assembly… This photo was Mikayla's first Christmas & it was perfect for these colours… Happy sigh - How much fun was that!!!

This page turned out better than I had previously imagined…  So with that in mind I am going off to play some more…

When the Mojo stikes...

I was searching around the other night on Pinterest looking for ideas, not related to scrapbooking mind you.  When I once again stumbled upon this stunning layout that I already had pinned in an album by the Pink Paislee team…

Me being me - I have started to realise that one can scrap lift & enjoy the process not realising that it would then blow up into something more…
Since I love Heidi Swapp's Papers, inks etc I decided to give it ago… Didn't like the background like above on the color magic paper I had chosen, so I set that aside & went plain white paper…
Added butterflies & of course me being me needed BLING!!!!
Not a bad looking layout...

Then I decided to revisit that other paper & ideas just took hold…
What a massive change…
I love this, I added much more colour shine and used the Sewing machine & added hearts, plus Bling & I made a chipboard frame & also decided to get some letters on that matched the colours as close as I could too…
I love this as well, they are both stunning layouts...

Sometimes when it comes down to it all you need is a scrap lift or a little idea & then you end up with maybe more than one layout!!!
It's all about the process & getting those photos taken for the family & future generation to enjoy.

Enjoying what we do!!!

Well howdy there,

Yes it has been along while & the only excuse I have for this is that my internet is jumpy as a hairy goat!!!  Sometimes it works other times it doesn't, I have since found out it's the area I live in…  Well thanks to a computer/techy mate I will be switching to a new internet provider in the very near future that is faster more data & cheaper in the long run!!!!  Woohoo!!!  Then I will be able to share with you pages etc & it will take 5mins to upload not 3hrs later still waiting…
Now thats what I call internet service…

Right now I am sitting here enjoying my view & my company…

This is our soon to be new room…. With my lovely Lady Melody enjoying her bed too.

Anyway much has happened in the past seven months since this post so it shall be a long post - I will share photo's of the house that has now changed!!  This is our major challenge & has it changed…  from Damp, wet, old tired looking home that had wet rot & couldn't be seen from any side due to trees…

Trees well we had to get rid of many due to the dampness & wanting to find the house plus some went for council regulations too…
It now looks like this...

Yes that is the from that you see in the photo above this one - we put in stairs gardens & a bird feeder...

This is the front of the house & new fence.

Can't wait for all the cladding to be finished & Painted.

Yes there has been a lot of work done & still a lot to do - a huge extension out the front which is the bedrooms for Hubby myself & our girls… Plus an upstair attic or storage area…  A lovely front fence & extension out the back for a triple garage & granny flat plus out the other side a massive deck where we had 70 people for my hubbies 40th… wow & could still have more.  Also up behind the garage is a flat area with a trampoline for our girls & a set of steps leading up to that area… now to find a swing set!!!

The above is my stress issue so now onto the below which besides my Lord is my stress relief…

Stamping & misting the page worked a treat…

I only bought these papers below because I loved the layout that was completed by the company for the papers but then I added bling, banners, arrows, brads & words… Just needed some more…

Next a christmas page with Gelatos used for the background. I don't do traditional pages very well  can you tell - Oh yeah & lots of bling - do you see a pattern here??

A simple school page - cause I found it hard to do a page.

My beautiful little sis with our eldest girl when she was little.

I love the blog White With One & this was one of those layouts.

Another of my ideas popped into my head & I just went for it...

Artistic Skating - amazed at how well this worked out = yes it's in your face bright & bold.

Engagement card that I made for my Sis & future Brother in-law.

Another fun layout with sequins & my favourite stuff Texture paste...

This was another of those tries at scraplifting….hahaha can I say doesn't look to much like the original but somewhat still has those features… I found the page in a magazine… but kept going with the bling bling….

Birthday girl page I Used Scraps… yes literally scraps … Looks pretty good if I do say so myself.

Paint & bling & lace & bling lol - yes I have a problem it's called BLING!!!

A receipe challenge = bright & bling bling once again.

Texture paste - using gyprocking tape as my background stencil… Had to have white space on this page….

I kinda got carried away with the paint background - glad we have no carpet or floorboards yet hahaha there was a little paint splattered…  I even sprayed the blue lace with Heidi Swapp Mist.

Another one of those play around pages hmmm looks like I have some journalling on these pages left to do.

Another Challenge for a retreat I am heading off to in about 5 weeks - Happy Sigh I get to take my supportive family with me...

I shop online at a few stores in Australia - one being D-Lish some amazing items within this store makes for fun but I also found last month that there is a cyber crop run every month too, I haven't done one of those in over 5 years!!!  Now you are talking... so 4 challenges I got stuck into & completed now if you know me I don't do one challenge at a time but can have multiples on the go - wet paint, ink etc etc but oh so much fun....

First up a Selfie page…. Was I surprised at how many selfie photos that we actually take…
This one was taken from the weekend before as I had organised a birthday night Skate surprise party & she had no idea… of course Glitter had to be used...

Another challenge was stamping - oh fun!!!!  Bubble wrap & Texure paste with paint makes a great stamp idea…  Plus other stamps used too...

Next challenge was embellishments these all had to be the same colour so I got carried away & went blue blue & blue with yes you guessed it some blue bing…lol

This one stretched me thats for sure - scrap a non-living thing so I scrapped my daughters hand prints that she used last year to make daddy a birthday card - a nice reminder of how small she once was.

Just completed the next two pages for the retreat that I am going on….
We have challenges to do & these are those… I had to use lace, paint, foil & the word Shine.

This was White & Black with another colour, I chose Blue, Also to use a charm or cameo or two etc

I hope you enjoyed & love seeing what I am completing - I love spending time with family as this is what scrapbooking was especially for = documenting for the future generations…
So until next time enjoy your family & live each day as if it is your last.
