D-Lish is D-Loverly...

As I sit here I am listening to my Rainbow Lorikeet & Scaley Breasted Lorikeet talk & carry…
Life is good - school holidays have started & we have lots of plans!!!  I love school holidays it means there is all sorts of things happening everywhere you look just for kids.

Finally got around to scrapbooking a wedding layout years & years later have been to scared to stuff them up don't know why as I can re-print them all…  I think these photos can be most precious & we worry about wrecking them but if we don't scrap them they seem to sit in a box hidden where no-body can see them.

D-Lish Scraps an Aussie online store that I find D-Loverly had a Facebook cybercrop at The Scrap suite this weekend which I thoroughly enjoy, but seeing as all in this house has been sick the whole week I have been unable to get all completed but I did manage to get 3 layouts done… Pretty good considering.
My take on using Tags - Heidi swap tags no less…lol Used the sequin rope & Glitter Washi tape from D-Lish...

This next layout surprised me on how well it worked out…Orange, Blue & Green colours - I don't usually scrap with orange as I dislike the colour it reminds me of my grandpa who I dearly miss & always think of him when I see it - think that has a lot to do with the reason I don't scrap with it… But this layout I really Love!!!  Doilies, D-Lish Dots, Blue Glitter & The Love word is a Paperclip all found in the D-Lish Store

This next layout is a deviation away from how I usually scrap but I had an idea & just ran with the flow to see how it would work… Had to use - 3 different shapes & numbers.  So I used circles, hexagons & arrows plus numbers too.
I didn't like this page at first but kept adding to it & it has worked out - my hubby loves this so I must have done something right ;-)

Anyway no matter what your weekend holds I hope you have time to cuddle & be with your loved ones whether you find time to craft or not enjoy every moment you can with them.

Until next time...

Black with Two...

Black with Two challenge was up & I couldn't believe it … Hot Pink & Yellow … Oh this was going to be so much FUN again… Was starting to think that pink & yellow was the theme on a few blogs for this September but who am I to worry with 2 girls…?
Thoroughly enjoyed this months Challenge
I had so much fun making this layout that I got carried away with making my background…lol Texture paste mixed with Dylusions mist's, Bubblegum & Pure Sunshine, after putting that on the background I decided it needed Yes you guessed it "BLING!"  So lots of yellow & pink Glitter & then ontop of that clear embossing powder to hold it all into place… Placed in the over to cook & finished off with more clear embossing powder & the heat gun - glitter all over me & the floor & the desk & the kitchen - it's a wonder I didn't ingest & sneeze glitter = lots of texture though.
Time for Photos, Heidi Swapp ephemera & goodies, plus more bling & finished with Bold in the journalling.

So until next time when the this Princess gets covered in Glitter & bling have fun experimenting cause isn't it about enjoying what you do for those that you love?

Challenge Board...

Oh I have found a challenge board that yes in a way I had forgotten about but my interest was revived after joining the cybercrop last month & then the Inspiration Board came up these colours… so girly for my girls… Sigh I just had to do it!!!

Isn't this board just beautiful!!!!!!

Oh dear then I became so sick… now that was a delay I didn't want but gave me time to think & then I received my parcel of goodies that I purchased from the D-Lish shop…  Oh so stunning & so much BLING!!!!
I just couldn't get over the size of those bows they were just the perfect size for me!!!

Ruler & mist were used to create background yellow, Plasterer's tape was used with pink mist & texture paste…  Glitter & those small gorgeous perfectly sized bows from D-Lish were also used along with the oh so sweet small pink flowers… My flowers were some old ones in my stash from Heidi Swapp kinda like Ghost flowers (Clear) that I embossed & glitterised.

In the sketch there was doilies as you can see but I didn't have what I thought was the right size & I didn't want to use my dies to make one so I had to really think… brain wave hit & I used my Glue Gun & glitter Glue sticks to make the lovely circles that replaced the doilies…  Now I had gone about this all backwards as I usually find the photo before I start but this time I had to go & find the photo before assembly… This photo was Mikayla's first Christmas & it was perfect for these colours… Happy sigh - How much fun was that!!!

This page turned out better than I had previously imagined…  So with that in mind I am going off to play some more…

When the Mojo stikes...

I was searching around the other night on Pinterest looking for ideas, not related to scrapbooking mind you.  When I once again stumbled upon this stunning layout that I already had pinned in an album by the Pink Paislee team…

Me being me - I have started to realise that one can scrap lift & enjoy the process not realising that it would then blow up into something more…
Since I love Heidi Swapp's Papers, inks etc I decided to give it ago… Didn't like the background like above on the color magic paper I had chosen, so I set that aside & went plain white paper…
Added butterflies & of course me being me needed BLING!!!!
Not a bad looking layout...

Then I decided to revisit that other paper & ideas just took hold…
What a massive change…
I love this, I added much more colour shine and used the Sewing machine & added hearts, plus Bling & I made a chipboard frame & also decided to get some letters on that matched the colours as close as I could too…
I love this as well, they are both stunning layouts...

Sometimes when it comes down to it all you need is a scrap lift or a little idea & then you end up with maybe more than one layout!!!
It's all about the process & getting those photos taken for the family & future generation to enjoy.
