7 Wonders of the World - Week 6

Week 6 is the Colosseum - arches, scallops & curves - layers of them.
So I am running a little behind as I really struggled to get my head around this and I wasn't happy with what I was doing so I put it aside for a few days an then restarted again!  I used the photos of my Darling Husband as a toddler about 3 I guess...Then pulled papers, inks and started to age the paper with The Tim Holtz distresser applicator and brown colorbox inkpad...not bad!  The laughter chipboard I used peach and blue colorbox inkpads.  Martha Stewart Punches were used to create the layered look.

The final result;
Have a wonderful weekend!

I have made this card for Bizzy Becs colour challenge Chocolate, Raspberry, Mint & Cream.  I played an came up with this
Not bad for just using pencils to colour in the fairy!  Have a wonderful day.

Oi so tired...

Well goodmorning for this sunny Saturday!

I am so tired after a long night with the 9.5month old, forgot how tired you can get with a baby especially whilst they are teething and we have the luxury of 2 teeth coming at the same time.  Thought I would share a wonderful site where I buy stamps from and I Luv the designer Elisabeth Bell - her work is beautiful hence why I frequent this site and buy these kits;

I finally purchase this kit yesterday now just to await it's arrival!  These are available for pre-order at Whiff of Joy
Have a lovely weekend!

Looks like I forgot Week 4...

The Hagia Sopia what a challenge this was...

We were to draw inspiration from the Hagia Sophia and incorporate a mosiac in some way (either with your photos or with decorative elements or papers) plus at least one of the following...
>> Eclectic mix of materials which may not normally be seen together
>> Gold elements to reflect the extensive gold used inside the Hagia Sophia.
>> Materials with an opulent feel to reflect the sumptuous interior of the Hagia Sophia
>> The evolution of an aspect of your life (or someone important to you)
>> Circular elements to reflect the Hagia Sophia’s dome.

Well I came up with this

I got fancy an made a mosiac of my photo of my lil sis and my daugthers

Did she say "No Flowers"?

Week 5 is apon us at for the 4.7.11 challenges...The Northern Lights
The Challenge was;
      no.1. Your layout must have green on it.  Okay I can live with that...
      no.2. No Flowers of any kind - Once apon a Time this would have had me screaming "NO!"and tearing my hair out, but with time comes growth so this challenge I accepted.
     no.3.  There must be at least one insect or animal on your layout...this got me thinking!!!

I really was feeling creative - So in conclusion I came up with this layout...I adore my husband! This is he as a toddler he was so darn CUTE!!!
So have a wonderful day no matter what you are doing!

Just for today!

I created this next Layout just for Ruth's Stamps and Crafts for her March Sketch -Challenge Ruths Stamps...This is a first for me entering into a challenge on another blog - but I know Ruth so trying something different when you know someone makes it a little easier...so without further ado here is my take on her sketch
Simple it is but effective - Mix of flowers which I hung the purple butterfly charm from which is so cool, my Cricut Expression cut out the Word Beautiful from chipboard with the help of my Gypsy - still getting used to the Gypsy.

Anyway have a lovely day!

Week Two of 4.7.11

 I had to take inspiration from this picture The Great Barrier Reef;
Thus I came up with this layout using a photo from when my husband was a teenager.
I Love wetting paper drying it ripping it and doing it all over again which I did to the orange peice, then I inked it!  Plus the Glimmermist spolted onto the backing paper.  The M & W of Mini waters I used Opals Ultra Thick Embossing Powder.

From the Scrap Room!

Thought I would update what I have done so far this past three weeks - firstly WEEK ONE of the 4-7-11 at Little Scrapbook Shopwas a pyramid OTP so here is mine...

My little sister came for a visit for the first time since we moved West and I am so glad she did...She got to meet her 2nd Neice Mikayla for the first time when she was 8 months old, Samantha loved having her here and didn't want her to go home back to Brisbane.

I really am happy with how this turned out, Stamped the butterflies, the spider, the dragonfly and the bee - All Inkadinkado stamps. All Prima leaves and flowers. Kaisercraft Rubons.
