Time Flows By...

Wow how the time has flown - I didn't mean to leave my blogging for so long and so far apart... I had all good intentions but life got so busy and so in the way.

So here is what I have been creating - this page I had almost finished three weeks ago to share with you when I had to pack up everything for the real-estate agent to come through - then I just never did get back to it as I have been working long hours with the lead up to christmas...blah - tired ya think...! I love these photos of my two girls with my little sister Rachel who flew over here from Queensland to Western Australia and finally got to meet Mikayla for the first time...Out of our whole family she got to meet and cuddle her first - bonding time.
Will be creating more layouts on this so will journal on some of the others this one I just didn't want to.

This layout is of Samantha being dedicated by dad one day before she turned 1... I was just playing about as I have many photos of this to redo - lets just say that two albums fell apart and now I have to restart these photos from scratch no more stuff from this company will enter this house as it just didn't do the job it needed too.
Lastly I made this quickly last night with my Heidi swap invisability paper and glimmermist... I love this simple but wow - stunning. My mum, big brother and our eldest girl on her dedication day.
Close up of those amazing liquid pearls on chipboard. I am loving this as it doesn't take long to dry and isn't messy!
So as always with the christmas season fast approaching - please enjoy your family - christmas is but one day take the time to sit back and spend time together all week!

Merry Christmas!!!!

We miss You!

This photo is from the Warwick Daily news;

My cousin Narelle on the left died from a snake bite Wednesday night! I am still realling from the news she left two gorgeous children behind - Emma pictured with her mum and Nick. I miss her already. Whats worse is I live on the otherside of Australia so I can't be with my family at this time for financial reasons...they all understand that but it is so hard. Plus our lives are about to change once our house sells.

You can read all about it here...

Finally!!!

A little late in blogging by a few days....sorry! Late mainly cause life gets in the road - and the darling eldest daughter gets stung on the toe by a Bullant and did we have problems with that...she was stung on Saturday afternoon whilst checking out a beautiful part of the south west as a family - Donnelly River...
These are wild kangaroo's (really Wallaroo's as they are smaller) and wild emus here but they are so used to humans as this is a holiday retreat with old old style houses set as accomodation. These animals come to you and love the attention...as you can see

After being stung by a Bullant - glad daddy was there he knew what to do plenty of ice to stop the burning and slow the swelling! Did her toe go up!!!! Still had problems until today she has been on adult strength antehistamine's and panadol. Yes the kangaroo is in the ice bag and below she grabbed the paddle pop stick from our daughters hands and licked it clean.
Now for the cards that have been completed more to do yet! Very simple especially for a young girl...used Merry Christmas from The Stamps of Life I love all the range that Stephanie makes...There has been a release this month already for club members which has been posted on the 1st of November everyone else gets to see the new realease on the 7th on the website...Really love it my daughters love to watch the video every month...
Cut out ribbons to make christmas tree's.

The Wreath is also from The Stamps of Life Samantha made me order this one when she saw it just for her christmas cards...
And lastly and easy card,

Until next time enjoy your week!

Wow I tell Ya!!!

Considering it is a long weekend here we really have no plans although we have been on a long walk this afternoon with the girls and been to two parks where they both delighted in playing with mummy and daddy! Suffice to say I did over 18 kilometers today in total including cleaning the house this morning...

I have a problem though a lovely problem although will be expensive in the long run - I have lost 11 kilos of myself along the way (WOW I Tell YA!) To think I was carrying that much extra and do I feel good... I can walk further now without puffing and playing with my girls it is brilliant.

Anyhow I thought I would share these cards that Princess Samantha has made her ideas astound me! All stamps on the following cards are The Stamps of Life I love all these stamps and you can become a member and recieve them cheaper - Yes they will post international!!!!!!

These cards are for her classmates at school;
She stamped this first one all by herself and I taught her to use the Grand Calibur machine so that she can use all the Spellbinders that I own.
Here is her second card - she cut all the shapes etc I just tied the bow.
The next weekend we got really busy!!!!
I taught her to use the cuttlebug as well so that she could get some dimension.
She did all the stamping!
Now I was playing about with my Copic Sketch pens and then she stuck it all down and I tied the ribbon...
Simple but easy - I had to stamp this one...
Used the idea to make a shaker card from Little Scrapbook Shop in the step by step and techniques section to come up with this - did she have fun with this technical little beauty. I just purchased this stamp set from The Stamps of Life and this snowman and globe are so cute!!!! Samantha put the ribbon on the card and I tied the knot!
I was playing around showing her how to make a very easy chrismas tree - we used the star from The Stamps of Life where I showed her how to emboss - did she love that! Then she came up with the idea of the ribbons for trimming - now how simple is this?

Okay this one is mine that she will still use - I found some instructions in spotlight from Martha Stewart to make this flower althought it is really BIG in depth to go in an envelope we will have to make one to fit it! I love how it has turned out... Took alot of time to make so a little fiddly but looks good!

I will share more when I take some photos she has 25 cards in total to make for school mates then more for her teachers plus we have to do family cards and make presents too! She has about 16 completed in total... Will share more sunday hopefully!

So until next time enjoy creating with your loved ones no matter how big or small the project may be.

Quite on the Western Front...

Well I haven't blogged for a little while as I have taken a small break from scrapbooking...School holidays were full on here with our eldest daughter completing swimming lessons everyday and passing the stage as well...So proud of her she was one of only a few children who did pass this stage. Now that school has returned for the last quarter I may just start to scrap again - mind you I never stop thinking about scrapbooking - lol there are always ideas flowing through my brain somewhere.

Whilst having my break from scrapping itself I have been scouring youtube for handmade flowers and I can't believe what I am finding that doesn't require having a pile of tools - I am so loving that... Plus I have been shopping for different items today I bought some fiskars punches 1" round and 1.25" scallop round - never had a punch before so may as well give it a go now.

Anyhow thought I would let you know I haven't fallen of the face of the earth - it just happens to be quite on the Western Front and the brain is taking a break from all the storms that wreak havock up there.

So until the creation flows again see you soon.

Shattered!!!!!!!

Well last night I had the fright of my life, my mum was having a bath after late shift at work before going to bed at about 12:45pm when I heard a loud "BANG" like a gun shot going off down the hallway. Talk about jumping out of bed and running down the hallway to here my mum say "What Huh What happened to that?" I get to the bathroom doorway to see glass shards under the door outside into the hallway and a good meter away from the doorway... Slightly opening the door to find a huge pile of glass!!!!

The shower door in the main bathroom had just shattered an fell to the ground with a large "BANG". There was glass everywhere in the shower and all along the floor - Thank the Lord mum wasn't having a shower and non entered the bath either. So one hour and two buckets of glass later the shower, bathroom and hallway were spotless - all in the house finally getting back to sleep.

Can you tell it was a bit of a shock! Never heard of this happening before though.

Last of my Sketch layouts...

Well here it is I am finished the Sketches for the Month of September at Scrapbooking from Scratch it may be late but at least it is complete... I have the personality that I should never complete anything and shouldn't hold interest in a craft plus be messy!!! HA that is so not me so I don't understand that I always complete what I am doing and I am not messy... Anyhow All 30 layouts are done now time for a small break from scrapbooking for awhile whilst I regain focus and then start afresh.
Sketch 26 - the one I needed to catch up on;
Here is my layout - but I still think it needs a heading....working on that.

More to Share!

Well blogging has become a second past time at the moment whilst completeing these pages per day over at Scrapbooking from Scratch I am a little behind with working nights and everthing else that has been happening, but oh well that is life.

So far this is what I have done...
Septmeber 21st Sketch - we had to use two photos,
My layout of our holiday many years ago at Moreton Island.
Sketch 22;
Layout which I had fun doing of dad an hubby in the dairy before we were married, this layout is also on Sassy lil sketches where the sketch originated from.
Sketch 23 - we had to use time in our title.
My layout useing photos from my mother relief milking and feeding out for the first time.
Sketch 24...
Here is my layout I dreaded doing these photos over the past years as I will never forget the pain!
Sketch 25... We had to use Black Cardstock and Negative Alphas.
My layout - lol - read the journalling...

This is a long post but I have still more to upload so please bear with me - here we go!!
Sketch 27... Had to use four different papers.
My layout of my best friends 30th in Queensland just days before we moved away to Western Australia - I stippled black paint around the outside edges.
Sketch 28 - which also is on Sassy lil sketches where this lovely layout was from...
Just over eight years ago now this little bundle of love came home from hospital with me and I can't believe how the years have passed...sad as it is they don't stay like this forever.

Today I completed sketch 29 - we had to use some kind of household material - I used doily's... and strip journalling - I used my brother P-touch 1000.
I used my copic sketch markers to change the colour of the title letter to red...there is also lots of rubons on the page although in this photo it is so hard to see.

Thankyou for reading through and looking at what I have completed - please leave a comment and let me know what you think... Until tomorrow when I play catch up and almost finish creating a sketch a day!
